Designing Accessible Learning Materials

In order to provide equitable learning experiences, all students, regardless of ability, must be able to access learning materials. In this interactive workshop, participants will be introduced to various accessible design practices and their application to learning materials, including handouts, presentations, and online content. 

Learning Outcomes: 

After the workshop, participants will be able to 

  • Recognize the value of creating accessible learning materials
  • Identify various abilities and the challenges/obstacles to learning 
  • Design learning materials that are accessible for all learners
