How to Make a Conference Poster (Research Fundamentals Series) In-Person

Academic research posters are often students’ first foray into presenting their work at conferences. But where should you start? How do you effectively showcase your work? Did you know that a poster session is still largely an oral presentation? This workshop will provide practical tips on how to make a poster that you can be proud of, including how to use poster templates in PowerPoint, ways to highlight important information, and how to balance figures and text. We will also discuss what to expect during your poster presentation, such as strategies for talking about your research and how to attract passing viewers.
