Up and Running with Augmented Reality in Unity In-Person

This workshop will serve as an introduction to the Unity game development engine and the Vuforia vision-based augmented reality software development kit. Participants will learn how to use the Vuforia package to create image and video augmented reality overlays for visual triggers.

Presenter: Jacob Greene is a doctoral candidate in the Department of English. His research explores the use of mobile augmented reality as a technology for writing and platform for public discourse. His work with AR has appeared in Programming Historian, Enculturation, and Kairos. In fall 2018, Jacob will be joining the Writing, Rhetorics, and Literacies program at Arizona State University as an Assistant Professor of English.
